*** Don't read/listen to this book before starting on "Along Came A Spider" and going through the four other books before Roses Are Red. The ending will be FAR less impactful if you start on this book first. *** Also, while the swearing was somewhat minimal, if you have a low tolerance for very descriptive violent and preverse actions then this may not the book for you. As far as my feelings of this book it was just ok. I was interested enough to finish it quickly, but to be honest the ending only slightly surprised me. One, because I hadn't read the previous books so the ending was very underwhelming to me. But two, looking back, I can't seem to remember any clues that would've teasingly tipped me off to who the "Mastermind" really was. And I'm pretty sure I would have remembered something because the story itself was very simple and really only does all it's major twisting and turning towards the end. So after the first major twist it just fizzled out for me (again, unless you read the Alex Cross books that came before this which I had not done).
