Romance writer Janelle Taylor was born in Athens, Georgia on June 28, 1944. She attended August State University, but did not graduate. She worked as both an orthodontic nurse and a research techonologist. She has written more than three dozen novels, beginning with Savage Ecstasy in 1981. Her books have been translated into more than 44 languages, and many of them have been New York Times bestsellers. In 1987, she was put in the Romantic Times Writers Hall of Fame, and has earned a number of other honors, including the Bronze and Silver Pen Awards and a Certificate of Merit for special achievement from the American Association of University Women.
