I listened to the audio version of this book. It was light and a simple story. The hero, Finian, was a movie star. I really tend to not like books with movie stars. He was definitely acting like someone he wasn't. He had a "bad boy" image to maintain, so he did some rude obnoxious things. The heroine, Hailey was much more down to earth, but she had her faults too. I loved that Hailey saw the real Finian and that he eventually started letting more normal actions be seen. Hailey did some things that just about brought an end to their relationship. She also kept things from her family that nearly cost them dearly. She definitely has some growing up to do. The narration of this book by Vanessa Moyen was a little lacking in the pacing of the sentences, but everything else was fine.

Hailey Summer is an aspiring artist stuck in a difficult situation. Finian Alexander is a ‘bad boy’ movie star who needs to keep up the bad boy persona. The two strike a deal to help each other out. Both discover there is more to this deal than meets the eye. And as they get to know each other more, the deal may they made may seem to be falling apart. Will it effect their relationship and blow up in their faces? Ienjoyed this book. I liked the character development of Finn. I liked how his desire to hide his good guy image eventually lost its importance to him. And I really loved how Haileys family pulled together in the end to help save what they all love and cherish. I was uncomfortable with they amount of sex talk there was in the book. I prefer to read cleaner books but it was very well written.

This is the first audiobook of the series titled The Summers Sisters and it belongs to Hailey, the oldest of the girls. She is an award winning photographer but her earnings are not enough to pay the back taxes of the family cottage. A cottage that has belonged to the family for many generations. She had promised her sick Mom that she would take care of them. She is desperate since she has also mortgaged her home to help her family. She is willing to lower her standards in order to get money by becoming a papparazi to get photos of a Hollywood bad boy vacationing in her town. Little does she know, that actor Finn, is trying to get away that image. But his agent is pressuring him to be the “bad boy” and get in the news. Somehow there is chemistry between these two, while circumstances are pulling each other away from what they really feel is right. Will they each get what they want or will the summer be one that neither can recover and get what they want? It was a sweet and funny story filled with lots of pull and push, misunderstandings and of course romance. I was entrusted this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
