I listened to the audiobook and the story was great until the middle. In the middle, however, it felt like banging my head against a wall. 2 officers from the PD had not only seen the killer but even spoken to him. They had 'seen him' for godsake! How could this be missed? Why couldn't they get the sketch done from them and circulate it in media? How difficult is that? Rather, the story goes on to show the agents do BS post this! Which FBI agent story would miss this detail? I was almost 3 hours into it, and I just couldn't continue with the story! Never thought that I would write a negative review for a book, but leaving the book in the middle isn't something that's I would want to do. I regretted investing those 3 hours

Entrancing. Good writing pulling you into the story. Smooth transitions. Loved the growing snippets from murderer point of view giving little glimpses. Excellent ending pulling it all together

Good, compelling story, marred by a couple of missed points during the scene when Tara is abucted and carried to the car, the killer stopped by the police. When Camille and Palmer are made aware in the alley by the 2 policeman they are not asked for a description of the killer or his car, the car is parked under a steetlight so they would of got a good look at him, so two missed opportunities in the story. Also the killer tells the two policeman that it is his daughter, no connection made
