I like the book but the narrator is making me crazy. Is there a dialect that prounounces the word carton as "car-den," curtain as "cur-den", or "forgotten" as forgot-IN? And maybe those are regional pronunciations that I'm not familiar with, but I'm pretty sure the long upholstered seats she describes are pronounced set-tee, not set-ay. I don't understand why SOME narrators can't be bothered to learn English.
