About the author
Marilyn Kaye is the author of many books for young readers, including the Gifted and Replica series. Marilyn earned a master’s degree in library science at Emory University and a PhD at the University of Chicago, and taught children’s literature at St. John’s University in New York for more than twenty years. She lives in Paris, France.
With an MFA in acting from the University of Iowa, Joniece Abbott-Pratt has performed on regional theater stages across the country, including The Public Theater in New York City. She has also appeared on numerous television shows, including The Good Fight, Law and Order: SVU, Luke Cage, and Orange Is the New Black.
