This book was marvelous! It was written with strong characters and true history. The author did very much research to introduce the Blue People of Kentucky and Roosevelt's WPA program, Kudos to the the author!

The kindness of this girl is heartbreaking. It is real. You can google her name. She not only delivered the books on her mule for $28 a month but she impacted all of the people on her route with her kindness.

I bought this book with high hopes and boy was it good:) it will take you there make you feel you are part of it. Must read
