I first read this in Wehunt's collection of the same name, now published by Apex Publications. If you like this, check out the rest of his work. This is a great story, but not even the best of that volume. Get it.

Michael Wehunt is an amazing storyteller. He quietly seats you behind the eyes of his characters and refuses to let you leave when the terror sets in. If you are new to his work, ‘Greener Pastures’ is a must-have.

Great short story! Upon reading/hearing it and the comments I will definitely look up his other stuff. Totally enjoyed this listen!
