Josh Redmont was 27 when the first check arrived, and he had absolutely no idea what it was for. Donald E. Westlake (1933 - 2008) was a three-time Edward Award winner and the author of over a hundred novels and non-fiction books. In 1993, the Mystery Writers of America named Westlake a Grand Master, the highest honor bestowed by the society.
