About the author

Napoleon Hill was an American author and motivational speaker who was born on October 26, 1883, in Wise County, Virginia. He is best known for his book "Think and Grow Rich," which has sold over 100 million copies worldwide and is considered one of the most influential self-help books of all time. Hill's early life was marked by poverty and hardship. His mother died when he was nine years old, and his father remarried shortly thereafter. Hill struggled in school and dropped out at the age of 13 to work as a reporter for a small-town newspaper. Despite his lack of formal education, Hill was a voracious reader and self-taught scholar. He became interested in the field of personal development and began interviewing successful people to learn their secrets to success. Over the course of his career, Hill interviewed hundreds of successful individuals, including Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, and Henry Ford. Hill's first book, "The Law of Success," was published in 1928 and was based on his interviews with successful people. However, it was his second book, "Think and Grow Rich," that catapulted him to fame. Published in 1937, the book distilled the lessons Hill had learned from his interviews into a set of principles for achieving success. Hill continued to write and speak on the topic of personal development throughout his life. He passed away on November 8, 1970, but his legacy lives on through his books and the many people he inspired to achieve their dreams.
