Parker J. Palmer is founder and senior partner emeritus of the Center for Courage&Renewal and the author of ten booksincluding Let Your Life Speak, The Courage to Teach, and Healing the Heart of Democracywhich have sold over 1.5 million copies and been translated into ten languages. His work has been recognized with thirteen honorary doctorates and with the William Rainey Harper Award, whose previous recipients include Margaret Mead, Elie Wiesel, and Paolo Freire. He holds a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley.
