About this audiobook

Marek Fabritis is used to delivering blows, not receiving them. But when he gets tipped off by an anonymous email about his ex-girlfriend, the news leaves him ice cold-and it's not because Gracen Moore is getting married to a total jerk. It's the fact that Marek has a three-year-old daughter he never knew about. Now he's going back home, not to play knight in shining armor but to make damn sure that no man takes what's his. For the first time, there might be something more important than hockey. Gracen Moore has always loved Marek. That's why she let him go, so he could pursue a career in the NHL. And that's why she never told him about Lilly. Only now does Gracen realize that she made an unforgivable mistake. But is that any reason for Marek to crash her wedding and make an epic scene? If the spark that still smolders between them is to be trusted, maybe. Still, Gracen's not getting her hopes up. Because she knows better than anyone that appearances aren't always what they seem . . . Contains mature themes.

Marek Fabritis was in love with Gracen Moore but broke up and left her so he could go play hockey, while having his freedom. Little did he know that Gracen would end up pregnant. Flash forward 4 years...Marek receives word that Gracen is about to marry a real jerk so he decides to head back to his hometown to stop the wedding. Imagine his surprise when he sees a tiny little girl who looks just like him....3 year old Lilly. Through a fit of anger and maybe jealousy, Marek tells Gracen that her and Lilly are coming back to North Carolina with him. Now the real fun begins. Marek is at a loss as what to do about Gracen. He is so mad at her for keeping the knowledge of Lilly from him, yet underneath it all, he still has feelings for her. Gracen has never stopped loving Marek. She didn't tell him about Lilly so he could pursue his dream of playing hockey. Now that they are living under the same room, tempted at every turn they need to decide if they can move past their pasts to get to their happy ending. I just love this series. Marek loves playing hockey, but he has also never gotten over Gracen. He compares every other woman to her and they all come up short. Sometimes he could be a stubborn jerk, but deep down he still loves her. It takes a huge leap of faith for Marek to get his happy ending. I really like Gracen. She put herself through nursing school, while pregnant and alone so she could have a better life for her child. I just adored Lilly. Such a fun 3 year old! She added a lot of fun during some straining times between Marek and Gracen. Overall, this story was another great addition to this series.
