Since it was first proposed in the US House of Representatives, the Green New Deal has been hotly debated. Eric A. Davidson is a professor in the Appalachian Laboratory at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. He is the author of You Can't Eat GNP: Economics As If Ecology Mattered.
