"Brother and Sister" is a well-known European fairy tale which was, among others, written down by the Brothers Grimm. In Russia the story was more commonly known as Sister Alionushka, Brother Ivanushka, and collected by Alexander Afanasyev in his Narodnye russkie skazki.
