Il rosa non è il mio genere prediletto, forse perché nel fondo del mio istinto più sincero, sento che se per scrivere bene serve talento, per saper gestire il rosa il talento deve essere se possibile ancora più grande. Mi sono concessa due romanzi rosa quest'anno e due delusioni ho avuto, anche se questa mi è più indigesta. Ne ho scelti per l'anno nuovo. Andrà meglio? Siamo dunque a un riadattamento delle vicende narrate nelle prime due stagioni della serie CW "Jane the virgin", in Italia completamente fruibile su Netflix. Rai 2 ne emise la prima stagione nell'estate 2016, scelta che poi non ebbe ulteriori conferme. Riadattamento narrativo in quanto la protagonista Jane Gloriana Villanueva, culla appassionate ambizioni di scrittrice. Tocca a Caridad Piñeiro diventare la mano di Jane, e io mi chiedo perché non lasciare tutto in mano agli sceneggiatori, come francamente mi aspettavo, essendo già stata deliziata con un precedente esperimento Wattpad incentrato sul personaggio di Rogelio De La Vega, padre di Jane. Un racconto breve, ma in perfetto assurdo stile novela, "Passions of Santos" oppure "Pasiones de Santos". Fatico a credere che Caridad Piñeiro sia una professionista: niente ritmo, stile indefinibile, non stuzzica la curiosità del lettore, non riesce ad appassionare e i pochi momenti in cui si tratta in modo efficace passione e sensibilità, non sembrano andare oltre la mera fortuna, e certamente non riparano chiarissime falle, non ultima un dilagante infantilismo: a quale scrittrice professionista adulta viene in mente di uscirsene con cose tipo "il ciuf ciuf del treno" o "mangiare acqua"? Chiamare un personaggio secondario ma chiave… Ronaldo De La Sera e farlo parlare da stereotipato messicano semi-analfabeta? Aggiungendoci poi una protagonista con una lealtà troppo facilmente distratta, e facendola pagare a un controcanto maschile che termina per passare da zerbino, perché non è credibile l'abnegazione qui. E lo affermo con la massima consapevolezza che il libro perfetto non esista, persino i miei due assoluti più cari hanno lungaggini, punti morti obbligati perché probabilmente non pubblicabili altrimenti. Gran peccato per un'opportunità calpestata da un lato, e una mancanza di rispetto al pubblico pagante dall'altro, giacchè i prezzi, in ogni formato, ad oggi esclusivamente in lingua inglese, non sono bassi. Riassumendo in stelle… temo non più di due.
