Soren and his band are sent to the mysterious Northern Kingdoms to gather allies and learn the art of war in preparation for the coming cataclysmic battle against the sinister Pure Ones. Meanwhile, in the Southern Kingdoms, St. Aggie’s has fallen to the Pure Ones, and they are using its resources to plan a final invasion of the Great Ga’Hoole Tree. With the future of all Owldom in the balance, the parliament of Ga’Hoole must decide whether or not to join forces with the brutal Skench and Spoorn and the scattered remnants of St. Aggie’s who remain faithful to them. The coming conflagration will demand wisdom, bravery, and sacrifice from all the owls of the great tree and, from Soren and the band, nothing less than heroism.

Kathryn Lasky is a New York Times bestselling author of many children’s and young adult books, which include her Tangled in Time series; her bestselling series Guardians of Ga’Hoole, which was made into the Warner Bros. movie Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole; and her picture book Sugaring Time, awarded a Newbery Honor. She has twice won the National Jewish Book Award, for her novel The Night Journey and her picture book Marven of the Great North Woods. Pamela Garelick was born in England. She acted in fringe theater there before coming to the United States, where she has worked as a voice-over artist in television and radio and as an audiobook narrator. Now living and working in Greece, she records, translates, and edits voice-overs from all over the world as well as narrating audiobooks in a small studio in her Mediterranean garden. She also paints silk clothing, bakes for the local cafés, and teaches newcomers the Greek language.
