Ana Rosa is a blossoming young writer growing up in a poor seaside village in the Dominican Republic. Lynn Joseph is the author of many picture books for children about her island home of Trinidad. This novel is her first book about her new island home: the Dominican Republic. Ms. Joseph is also an attorney for the City of New York.
