About this audiobook

Find God’s vision for your job.

Reclaim God’s vision for your life.

Many Christians fall victim to one of two main problems when it comes to work: either they are idle in their work, or they have made an idol of it. Both of these mindsets are deadly misunderstandings of how God intends for us to think about our employment.

In The Gospel at Work, Sebastian Traeger and Greg Gilbert unpack the powerful ways in which the gospel can transform how we do what we do, releasing us from the cultural pressures of both an all-consuming devotion and a punch-in, punch-out mentality—in order to find the freedom of a work ethic rooted in serving Christ.

You’ll find answers to some of the tough questions that Christians in the workplace often ask:

  • What factors should matter most in choosing a job?
  • What gospel principles should shape my thinking about how to treat my boss, my co-workers, and my employees?
  • Is full-time Christian work more valuable than my job?
  • Is it okay to be motivated by money?
  • How do you prioritize—or balance—work, family and church responsibilities?

Solidly grounded in the gospel, The Gospel at Work confronts both our idleness at work and our idolatry of work with a challenge of its own—to remember that whom we work for is infinitely more important than what we do.

I work for king Jesus and for my employes and co-workers as if they're Jesus! Work is blessed by the blood of God from Jesus Christ of Nazareth and the curse is finished. If I could be any holic I'd be a workandrestaholic. I too only workout the right side of my body and I pray for a supernatural download of the muscle memory of a right handed person and Floyd "Money" Mayweather in Christ Jesus of Nazareth. Amen and amen. God has set apart an inheritance for me as a reward in Christ Jesus of Nazareth. Amen and amen. My reward and joy is secured in Christ. That is an awesome anchor! One thing I don't like is that whole thing about the Gospel we proclaim with our lips is gold doesn't become gold when you discover it and the Gospel doesn't become the gospel when you start acting like it. Gospel would still be true whether or not you did anything, so. God, others self. God loves me and this is love. Keep the pyramid the right way.. I pray that God strengthens you for you work for the paycheck set before you as He strengthened Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane for His work of salvation for the joy set before Him in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen and amen. Overall. Good performance and it's well written. Thank you.
