Acerca de este audiolibro

Henry Lawson's works, along with those of Banjo Paterson, have become an essential part of the Australian literary tradition. Henry Lawson's storytelling focuses on the bush, on droving and shearing, on the characters and resilience of life in the outback. Born in a tent on the Grenfell goldfields in 1867, Lawson could well remember the roaring days of the gold rush and the life of pioneers. This collection includes some of Lawson's most beloved stories of life in the bush: • The Loaded Dog • That There Dog of Mine • The Ironbark Chip • Mitchell: A Character Sketch • The Union Buries its Dead

Acerca del autor

Henry Lawson (1867 – 1922) was an acclaimed Australian short story writer and poet. He is often referred to as the 'greatest Australian writer.' Although this claim cannot be quantified and is disputable, what cannot be argued is that Lawson is the most well-known writer of Australia’s colonial period. His stories and poems are known for their candid revelations of life in the Australian bush.

One of Australia’s best-known actors, Colin Friels has extensive film credits including the crime comedy Malcolm (1986) – a role that earned him the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actor and remains one of his best loved roles. Colin spent several years on screen in one of his familiar roles as Frank Holloway in the popular television series Water Rats. He recently won the Green Room Award for Best Actor for his performance in RED for the Melbourne Theatre Company.
