The late Henry Hill entered the Federal Witness Protection Program in 1980 and assisted the government in building cases against forty-six top Mafia associates. He collaborated with author Nick Pileggi on the book Wiseguy, which became a New York Times bestseller, and a film directed by Martin Scorsese. Until he died in 2012, Hill toured the country lecturing high school students not to emulate his past life and career.
Before becoming a writer, Daniel Simone was an aerospace engineer who worked on the Apollo lunar modules. In addition to having ghost-written the biographies of two prominent actresses, he is coauthor, with Henry Hill, of The Lufthansa Heist. Daniel lives in Amagansett, New York.
