Poppy Summers is packing her suitcase to spend a two-week holiday back in her seaside hometown of Port Starr. Julie Shackman trained as a journalist and studied Media & Communication before turning her hand to women's fiction. She lives in Scotland with her husband and two teenage sons. When not reading and writing romance, she writes verses and captions for greeting card companies.

Lesley Harcourt has worked extensively in theatre, film and television, including Coronation Street, Eastenders, Castles in the Sky and Casualty with regular roles in Taggart & Doctors. Highlights include playing Maggie in 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' for Nottingham Playhouse/ Belgrade/ Royal Lyceum and National tour, and playing the role of Princess Diana in 'William & Catherine: A Royal Romance' for Hallmark.
