Jacqueline Woodson┬а(1963 - ) is an┬аAmerican┬аwriter of books for children and adolescents. She is best known for┬аMiracle's Boys, which won the┬аCoretta Scott King Award┬аin 2001, and her┬аNewbery Honor-winning titles┬аBrown Girl Dreaming.┬аFor her lifetime contribution as a children's writer, Woodson won the Margaret Edwards Award in 2005 and she was the U.S. nominee for the biennial, international┬аHans Christian Andersen Award┬аin 2014.┬а
