The earliest voice of the Christian Church rings out clear and true across the centuries in Christopher Glyn's reverent yet eminently listenable narration. This, the oldest and arguably most important translation, was the version of The Bible that Jesus himself would have read – and the one from which almost all the New Testament's writers were quoting. In fact, some 300 passages directly quoted or referenced come from the Septuagint text. Chrstopher Glyn became a Christian at the age of 21, giving up a promising theatrical career in the U.K. to engage in full time missionary work. In the 35 years since then, he has have been very active in the field of Christian radio, primarily on the Asian and African continents.
