“In Britney Spears’s memoir, she’s stronger than ever.” —The New York Times

Over 2 million copies sold of the “moving” (Time), “powerful” (Los Angeles Times), “radiant” (The New York Times), “poignant” (Vogue) #1 New York Times bestseller. The Woman in Me is a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.

In June 2021, the whole world was listening as Britney Spears spoke in open court. The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others. The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history.

Written with remarkable candor and humor, Spears’s groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love—and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last.

Very sad story from a girl who's childhood was stolen by greedy parents. It's so sad to hear her gradually go from loving her career to feeling like a prisoner if she didn't perform. I remember attending one of her concerts around the Circus sets era and it was just a chaotic mess.... Barely lip synching and half-assed dancing... you could tell it was a chore for her

I'll give it a 3.5 stars, purely to bolster Britney's standings on the chart and hopefully make others aware of the complete nightmare this woman endured. Substance wise, this one was slightly lacking albeit for the name-dropping and nostalgia for 90s/00s music and artists. I could see this turned into a docuseries, for sure.

This was an exhausting read. Basically it's "Everyone around me abused and manipulated me, so I'm not responsible for a single choice I made. Everyone pity me please." Parts were seemingly written by a 6th-grader, while other paragraphs are clearly written by a college educated author. It's bizarre.
