It begins with the murder, the hops into the days immediately prior to the convicted man awaiting the hangman and the husband/wife team being asked to do their best (even at this late date) to get a stay of execution and (hopefully) prove the man's innocence. From then on, it's a wild ride of an investigation that gets faster and faster until the end. Great read! Nathaniel Parker brings the characters alive and adds to the suspense!
