"Ugh, this place is nasty," Alex said, crinkling his nose in disgust. "How are we supposed to have a party in here?"

"Don't be such a baby," Emily chided. "A little dirt and cobwebs never hurt anyone. Let's check this place out."

The group made their way through the darkened rooms, their footsteps echoing off the walls as they searched for the perfect spot to set up their party. The house creaked and groaned, as if in protest of their presence.

Suddenly, a loud crash echoed through the house, causing the group to jump in fright.

"What was that?" Olivia whispered, her voice barely louder than a whisper.
