Ratings and reviews

Book: 4/5. Narration: 4/5. The narrator is pleasant but I wish she did the dialogue better. The narration is particularly good in one chapter, later on in the book.

An interesting book about friendship, success and failures. It starts a bit erratic but picks up momentum and is enjoyable. The ending leaves a bit to be desired.

Lags at times, and I'm not sure why Zevin made some of the choices she did -- handcuffs? why introduce Sam's dad at all? -- but it was well worth reading.
