En "Ver con los Ojos" Miguel de Unamuno nos ofrece una historia de amor y redención, pero también una reflexión sobre la experiencia humana, sobre la importancia de encontrar nuestra mirada y nuestro lugar en el mundo. A través del protagonista, un joven que regresa al pueblo desde una gran ciudad, atribulado y cargado de unos conocimientos y reflexiones que le han convertido en un pesimista hastiado de la vida, y de su encuentro con una sencilla muchacha de su pueblo, todo optimismo y sencillez, el autor nos propone una fábula sobre la necesidad de atender al mundo y a la razón, sobre el valor curativo de la belleza, y sobre la búsqueda de la felicidad.

Through the protagonist, a young man who returns to the village from a big city, troubled and burdened with knowledge and reflections that have turned him into a pessimist tired of life, and his encounter with a girl from his village, all optimism and simplicity, the author offers us a fable about the need to attend to the world and to reason, about the healing value of beauty, and about the search for happiness.
