Ratings and reviews

The voice and reading are very nice, but there are no proper titles used for the books in the bible. This audiobook is broken up into short chapters, numbering 1-1189, you have no idea what it is before you choose a chapter, cannot find what you want, or see what is playing. STUPID!

The Bible really comes alive with David's voice and inflection. It's fun to listen to his pronunciation of the difficult names in the Old Testament. The one negative I have experienced is that the text has been altered for the sake of gender inclusiveness. Brothers becomes Brothers and Sisters. Foreman become overseers. Men become Humans or Mankind. And more. If you follow along with written text you can become occasionally quite lost when the sentence structure is rearranged to accommodate these revisions. It's not something that would prevent me from buying and using the book. But it is irritating in this era of revisionist history.

This is marked as only 3 starts because the tracks are split only by book of the Bible. If I want to listen to Psalm 23, I would have to search an hours long track. Ideally, this would be split by chapters. If a chapters version is available, even without labels as some have described it, please contact me!
