This incredible version of the Bible has transformed my reading of Scripture. I can listen to it in the car, on walks in parks, while riding a bike, etc. The cast, including familiar actors like Denzel Washington, Cuba Gooding Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, & LL Cool J, is phenomenal. The music and sound effects help the Scriptures to come alive even more. It's no wonder that this book is the best selling audio Bible and has won so many awards, including "Audies Audiobook of the Year honors (the highest honor of the Audio Publisher’s Association)". I saw one reviewer complain about the cost, but you have to keep in mind that it took money to produce this version of the Bible. For it to be free, there would still be a cost in millions for donors to contribute to the project. With the cost comes a higher level of quality not found in other versions. I think it's worth every penny & am very grateful that it's available, even if the cost was double what it is. If you really don't like the cost, get a used version or a different version of the Bible that's not as good because it didn't have the funding of this version. Many people including myself who want to do ministry full time can't do it because of lack of funding. The cost of this version has enabled those that worked on the project to complete it, and encourages any similar future efforts due to the success of this version, just like the Passion of the Christ did for movies. Also, 1 Timothy 5:17-18 says, "Elders who lead effectively are worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching. For the Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,” and, “The worker is worthy of his wages.""

The Bible experience is great audio book but o truly dislike the set up!! 1st is was a #'s game you had to figure out with # corresponded to which books. NOW they broke it up into 'devotional months' with 4hrs of listening time. You have NO idea where one chapter starts n another ends.. TOTALLY frustrating!

I love the content of this audiobook; it's incredibly well done. However, it only gets 4 stars because there is absolutely no way to simply pick a book of the Bible to listen to. You have to randomly guess where the book you want to listen to might be in the lists of months (seriously? you organized by month?!?) I thought maybe I could manually add book and chapter heading with the bookmarks, but I can't even do that. So this incredible recording is made 50% less useful simply because of how they titled the files. If you want to be able to pick what book to listen to without the audio scavenger hunt, you need to buy the books individually, which costs considerably more. It's a bummer, although I still plan to use it.
