not so good. It felt like a rip off a medicure 1930s howdunit, that had been made into a bad tv howdonit from the 80s and then rehashed back into an even worse book spawn by a committee of unimaginative marketing "gurus". With stereotyple characters which are at best boring and at worse offensive.

A bit too farfetched at times for my liking. The interview at the end was quite revealing; the author tells us he only decided on the murderer half way through writing!

Completely enchanting. Getting to know the characters was such a pleasure. Some of the cast in particular, came to feel like treasured friends you cannot wait to see again. With hilarious shenanigans & a mystery that keeps you guessing. This book is a brand new shiny jewel in the crown of Great British fiction. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and absolutely cannot wait to see what mischief the gang will get into next time

About the author

Richard Osman rose to fame presenting Pointless with Alexander Armstrong. He's now a creative director for Endemol UK, and has worked as an executive producer on numerous shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats and 10 O'Clock Live, as well as presenting his own quiz shows. He is also a regular on panel shows such as Have I Got News For You and writes a column for the Radio Times. Richard has always wanted to be an author, and The Thursday Murder Club is his debut, bringing together his love of mysteries and British people.
