Jim "Boots" Demarest served in Desert Storm as an F-15 pilot and currently serves in a leadership position in the Florida Air National Guard as a brigadier general. The author of Five Nickels and coauthor of Joint Force Leadership, he is a sought-after speaker on topics including leadership and execution improvement.

Mark Wayne McGinnis is the bestselling author of more than twenty books, including the Scrapyard Ship series, the Star Watch series, and the Galaxy Man series. Mark lives in Colorado with his wife, Kim, and their two dogs.
