About the author
Born and raised in a communist country, I spent the first two decades of my life under a strict regime before setting off for Germany 34 years ago, after 16 months of military service. Life in Germany has shaped me in many ways and enabled me to develop a variety of talents, from craftsmanship and interior design to writing and learning foreign languages.
Despite this, I remain at heart an ordinary person, deeply honest, who places great value on helping others whenever necessary. I do not seek to boast about my successes, but rather share how these experiences have made me the person I am today: a committed, compassionate individual, always ready to lend a helping hand.
