Ratings and reviews

Tried several times to finish this book. Personally, the attempt to portray the female protagonist as anything other than pathetic put me off. The flowery adjectives to describe feelings or looks were nauseating. Heck No thank you not for me. If you are going to write a female character, why perpetuate stereotypes? Im not going to comment on the performance, she had nothing to work with here.

Very disappointed in this book. I cannot believe that it had a 4.1 audio book rating on Google Play Books. While it did keep me listening until the end, it was mostly because I wanted to know if my hunch was correct...which it was resulting in a predictable ending. I found the majority of the conversations in the book very unnatural. I just keep thinking that no one really talks like that. I also found the main character very unlikable. Who is that naive and who would forget such important details? It made it difficult to root for her. I won't be picking up anything by this author again.

Great book. My only complaint is the narrator. She would not use the pauses correctly. She would say something, pause, and then say Olivia said, but it was too far apart, and you weren't sure who said what sometimes. Definitely would rerecord. But it's still a good book. It could use some more action as well, and Olivia shouldn't be so frail if she is gonna try and be a detective. Also, not very believable as far as them asking. I mean, really?
