Nicole Burnham is a favorite author of mine. I've been following her for years. She writes well with great storylines and characters that I've become invested in over time. I'm so happy to read more from her again! Fit for a Queen is the first book in the Royal Scandals: San Rimini series. It is a great standalone read, but it was good to see some past characters from Sarcaccia and to get a look at some new characters for this series. I was immersed into the royal world of San Rimini. Nicole Burnham describes it so beautifully. I felt like I was there with them. Royce and Daniela had a sweet and, at times, painful story. Royce was cautious, yet protective and Daniela trustworthy and sweet. They got a second chance to find love. It was a heartwarming HEA. I look forward to the next book in this series. I listened to the audiobook through Authors Direct. I honestly cannot say whether I enjoy reading or listening to this book more. Hollis McCarthy is an excellent narrator. She has such a smooth voice. The lilt to her voice is perfect for the royal series. She does both female and male voices well. So easy to listen to her performance.

The end of an era, spells the beginning of a mystery. Prepare to be swept away with an adventure of the heart. Burnham takes emotions beyond the rainbow and into some stormy weather. From chance meetings to mysterious happenings, Fit for a Queen is an intriguing, contradiction of unpredictable as addictive as it is entertaining.
