I LOVE this book. I cannot recommend if highly enough. If you like queer representation in your stories I don't think you can go wrong here. The world building in this post-apocalyptic story was so beautifully done. I love the twist on what I expected to be most zombie apocalypse. I was even more thrilled when I was listening and thought I was at the climax of the story to find that it was nowhere near done and I so much more to enjoy. This is the first book I've listened to that was preformed by Barrett Leddy & Andrew Gibson. They brought this story to life with their performances and I truly recommend that you get the audiobook to listen to. Erik J. Brown is added to one of my top 5 authors because of this book. I will be coming back to this story multiple times over the next several years to revisit this world and I honestly hope there are plans for a sequel because I want to know more about what happens to these characters.

I listened to the audiobook during a timespan of like...3 days. Very engaging and a story told beautifully.
