Lucy Bertram is a very intelligent bluestocking who loves botany. William Lockhart is an earl and an agent for the crown investigating a murder. When they meet, he is masquerading as the new groom on her father’s estate. Lucy and her father are experts in poisonous plants. Could Will suspect one of them? This is an exciting and entertaining story with wonderful characters; a delightful story with a steamy romance, a mystery, a dose of danger, a truly vile villain, and a wonderful ending.
