About this audiobook

Honor and betrayal fuel a caste-shattering revolution in the action-packed new novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Red Rising Trilogy. Ten years after the events of Morning Star, Darrow and the Rising are battling the remaining Gold loyalist forces and are closer than ever to abolishing the color-coded caste system of Society for good. But new foes will emerge from the shadows to threaten the imperfect victory Darrow and his friends have earned. Pierce Brown expands the size and scope of his impressive Red Rising universe with new characters, enemies, and conflicts among the stars.

I was a little nervous about all the narrators when I first started the book but it grew on me. It makes it a lot easier to follow each character in my opinion. I love that this book offers more perspectives and just gives a better understanding of how diverse the universe is and all the different things going on. All the characters are very different from each other, I found myself hating Lysander and I couldn't decide on Ephriam. It's kind of cool to see the perspective of "bad" characters (enemies of the original characters). Overall one of my favorite books in the series, definitely a lot different from the others. I could just listen to it for hours!

I have a really hard time getting through because of the accent of one of the narrators. English is not my native language. I've read and listened the previous books without issues. This book has multiple narrators and it demands a lot of focus. If I had known this, I wouldn't have purchased the audiobook and stick with the regular book.

fantastic book! compared to the previous trilogy I found it to be a bit slow but the way he morphs new characters storys in while also running up to speed on old favs from the previous books and building up an already gigantic universe with even more culture it's truly amazing. Granted I didn't completely fall for Iron Gold until I finished Dark Age but Pierce Brown is really out doing himself with this second trilogy! can't wait for book three to be released!
