I first listened to audio books on sales/productivity/biz in the 1980s and maybe it's because I'm a professional audio producer & VO director but the first, few samples I heard are boring or annoying. I'm not knocking these books or the talent per se but trying to help out the world of audio books. The opening, sample text was lack luster to say the least. The VOs I sampled sounded pushy or milk toast flat. Listen to Denis Waitley or even Earl Nightengale. I realize that nobody can be a Zig Zigler or a Tony Robbins, but c'mon. BTW, please don't kill the messenger.
