Yani ona göre insandaki ahlâk gibi soyut fonksiyonlar, aslında biyolojik bir temele dayanmaktadır. Gerek ferdî ve gerekse cemiyetteki ahlak numunelerini kendisinin “evolüsyon” olarak tabir ettiği bir nevi biyolojik tekâmül veya evrim neticesinde husule geldiğini ve bu husule gelişin tabii bir seyir takip ettiğini ifade etmektedir.
