Его грезы прерываются странными стуками в дверь и появлением в доме говорящей черной птицы, которая на все его вопросы отвечает одно лишь полное безысходности и грусти слово – "никогда". Стихотворение дано в переводе замечательного русского поэта Серебряного века Валерия Яковлевича Брюсова.
