Данная статья посвящена вскрытию Фрэнсисом Бэконом изъянов нашего мышления, присущим – если с ними не бороться и если их не преодолевать – поголовно всем людям. Эти изъяны Ф.Бэкон назвал «идолами, осаждающими умы людей». Мы же в представленной здесь миниатюрной работе стремились раскрыть те связи и отношения, которые действительно существуют между изъянами («идолами») нашего мышления и теми негативными последствиями принимаемых нами решений и соответствующих им действий в результате нашего непротивления указанным «идолам».
