يسعدنا أن نقدم هذا الكتاب لخُدّام الرب، ليدرسوا الردود على الهجومات الكثيرة الموجَّهة للكتاب المقدس، بعهديه القديم والجديد، وهي هجومات قديمة، ومردودٌ عليها. لكنها لا تزال تتردَّد إلى يومنا هذا.ومن المؤسف أن معظم هذه الهجومات نشأت بين بعض علماء الكتاب المقدس، المنحرفين عن الحق، في أوائل القرن التاسع عشر، وأطلقوا عليها اسم «النقد العالي والنقد المنخفض». وقد ردَّ رجال الدين المحافظون على هذه الهجومات، وفنّدوها وأظهروا خطأها، فلم تعُد تحظى بالاحترام في يومنا هذا. ولكن المعترضين لا زالوا يقتبسونها كأنها صحيحة، ولا زال بعض أساتذة الجامعات في بلادنا يدرِّسونها، دون أن يتيحوا لتلاميذهم فرصة الاطلاع على الردود التي تفنّدها
