کتاب اگرچه برخی نکته های نغز و دلکش را در خود جای داده است مانند نگاه به مرگ و آیین سلوک معنوی در جهان مدرن با توجه ویژه به مورد سهراب سپهرب، اما در بخش قابل توجه کتاب لحن، به وعظ و خطابه می افتد و امتن ز مفاهیم بدیع و تازه خالی می گردد.
