राजा भोज की सभा में चर्चा हुई कि अमृत कहाँ रहता है ? किसीने कहा, ‘स्वर्ग में’, किसीने कहा, ‘सागर में’, किसीने कहा, ‘सुंदरी के होंठों में, तो किसीने कहा मणिधरों के पास । कवि कालिदास बोले : ‘कंठे सुधा वसति वै भगवज्जनानाम् ।’ जो भगवद्-जन हैं, जिनको भगवद्-तत्त्व का बोध हुआ है, साक्षात्कार हुआ है, ऐसे महापुरुषों के कंठ में ही अमृत है । उस अमृत का पान करने से मनुष्य अपने अमर-पद को प्राप्त कर लेता है । आत्मा अजर-अमर है, उस आत्मतत्त्व का जिसे साक्षात्कार हो जाता है वह आत्मा की तरह ही अजर-अमर हो जाते हैं । आत्मा का साक्षात्कार किये हुए महापुरुषों के कृपाप्रसाद से ही आत्मसाक्षात्कार सम्भव है ।
भगवद्-तत्त्व का साक्षात्कार किये हुए पूज्य संत श्री आशारामजी बापू के पावन सत्संग से अमृतबिंदुओं का संकलन ‘अमृत के घूँट’ सत्साहित्य में किया गया है । इसके प्रत्येक पृष्ठ पर एक अमृत-वचन है, जिसके मनन-चिंतन से जीवन में अमरत्व का संचार होगा । साथ ही शरीर स्वस्थ रहे, मन प्रसन्न रहे इसकी सरल युक्तियाँ भी दी गयी हैं, ऋतु-अनुसार क्या खायें, क्या नहीं खायें, कब खायें आदि जानकारी भी इस पुस्तक में है ।

Amrit Ke Ghuņta
(Draughts of Nectar)
A discussion took place in the royal court of King Bhoj regarding where Nectar is found. Someone said, “In heaven”, another said, “In the Ocean”, some uttered, “In the lips of a beautiful woman” while some said, with the cobras. The great poet Kālidasji said: “Nectar lies only in the larynx of great men, the men of God, who have realized Brahman, who are the Self-realized ones. Man attains the state of immortality by drinking the nectar of their spiritual instructions. The soul is ageless and immortal, and the one who attains the realisation of the Self becomes ageless and immortal like the soul itself. Such Self-realisation is possible only through the grace of Self-realized great men, saints and the awakened souls.
