1957年、名古屋生まれ。東京理科大学理学部卒業。1979年、大学在学中にＳＦ専門誌「奇想天外」にて作家デビュー。以後、ショートショートやＳＦアイデアストーリーを中心に活躍。1990年代にはＲＰＧに材をとった小説やシナリオも執筆。2000年ごろからショートショートの研究に着手。著作多数。
