建文帝朱允炆偏聽帝師黃子澄與大儒方孝孺，先是遂行削藩，引發燕王朱棣發動靖難，其後昏招迭出，賞罰倒錯，屢遭大敗，又斷送與朱棣議和之機。朱棣地小兵寡，雖勝多敗少，但勢力始終局限一隅，於是鋌而走險，直搗京師，得內應而破城，允炆屠戮后妃並縱火焚宮後出走。朱棣利用韓待雪脅迫鄭和出海尋覓允炆，也為了耀武異邦，並自命正統，因此組建空前龐大的艦隊。鄭和無可奈何，只能擔負起既無法、亦不願達成的艱鉅使命……橫跨明朝三位皇帝的武俠鉅著，蕩氣迴腸的史詩結尾，絕對不容錯過！
