「復帰」というのは、以前、おれはしばしば公園でプチホームレスをやっていたからだ。収入がなく、家に居づらかったのである。
おれがはじめてホームレス界にデビューしたのは、2001年の春だった。一年間無職無収入で懐がすっからかんになり、上野公園にしばらく住んだ。
その後、今に至るまで、折に触れて渋谷の代々木公園で寝たり、あるいは名古屋や大阪のホームレス界を探訪し、ホームレスの人々と深く濃く交わってきた。
本書は、それらの折々の体験を描いた実話である。
