本論文分析清代科舉考試鄉、會試官員管理規範，建構清代科舉考試法規範設立的法律意識與法規範重點。並且在參考科舉研究對於清代科舉制度法規範的沿革後，考量清代科舉法規範自順治朝以來不斷受到實務的挑戰而有所回應和調整，直至嘉慶、道光年間逐漸形成定制，因此將分析的重點放在道光29年的《欽定禮部則例》。本論文的研究範圍主要對於普遍性的舉人鄉、會試考試進行研究，而暫時不討論具特殊性質的武舉、繙譯、宗人考試
