About the author
揭暄（1613-1695）字子宣，號韋綸，一號緯紛，別名半齋。江西廣昌旴江鎮後塘人。明末清初著名的軍事理論家、天文學家和數學家。祖為郡庠生。父亦邑廩生。揭暄「少有奇氣，喜論兵，慷慨自任」，自幼聰明好學，一覽成誦，博聞強志。為明朝縣學「諸生」時，「於諸子、詩賦、數術、天文、軍事、歧黃等無所不窮」，且留心世事，「獨好深湛之思」，時人以「才品兼優，德學並茂」稱之。年輕時，曾在家鄉組織義兵抗擊清軍。揭暄最大的貢獻當推其費盡心血的軍事名著《揭子兵經》和《揭子戰書》。其中《揭子兵經》分「智」、「法」、「術」三卷，計一百篇，亦稱《兵經百篇》、《兵鏡百篇》、《兵法百言》、《兵經百言》、《兵經百字》、《兵略》、《揭子兵書》、《兵法圓機》等。（《互動百科》）
